Peanuts 2018: An impressive new team!

Dear Swimmers and Parents,

Thank you to all swimmers who represented the club in Peanuts 2018 round 1 competition on Saturday 05 May.

Taking in to account how many new swimmers competed for the very first time, the overall result (5th out of 6 competing clubs) was not bad. There was a great team spirit and all swimmer did their best, and it was very good!!!  I can see great potential in our Peanuts boys and girls!  I’m sure we can do much better in the next two rounds. We will work on all swimming skills  in the next weeks to prevent any DQs (disqualifications). These added many unnecessary points to our score in round 1.
Special recognition and congratulations go to a very late addition to the team: Holly West (9) and  Nathan Kersey-Alonso (10). They really stepped-up on very short notice! To girls in the 11yrs old age group: Maya Ghosh, Eva Glynn, Rosie Hadfield and Amber Harber, a big WELL DONE!  They all swam up an age group and all did splendidly well!!!
As soon as I get the results, I’ll added them to our Hy-tek database, and they can be checked via our website.
Thank you to the volunteers, too: Pippa Hopkins, Sue Benson, Cathy Whelan, seniors swimmers Lucy Molloy and Ana Hill Lopez-Menchero, and volunteer swimming officials: Andy Meakins and Ronan Glynn, and  Jennie Burton who took the splits!!!!
Here, HertsPeanuts2018-Round2 team confirmation, is the the team for round 2 on 09 June ( place and timing tbc).  Can all Peanuts 2018 swimmers try to attend  as many session as they can and include in it Tuesdays (6.30-8.00/9.30pm), Fridays ( 7.30-8.30/9.00pm) and Sundays at Westminster Lodge, please!!!
Keep training smart and hard, and have fun!
